There is no doubt that walking is good for you. It is good for your heart, lungs, overall mental and physical well-being. Walking in the Cotswolds provides a wealth of choices with gentle strolls, hilly hikes and a variety of circular walks including many level, stile-free walks for wheelchairs and easy access.

Active people survey
The governing body for sport in the country, Sport England, undertakes an annual survey known as the 'Active People Survey' which measures adult participation in sport. The most recent survey demonstrates that 43.2% of Tewkesbury Boroughs adult population (16+) are active for 30 minutes on at least 3 days per week. This result puts Tewkesbury Borough near the top of well performing districts in the country against the national average of 31.1%. More info about the Active People Survey can be found on the Sport England website.
