Refuse, recycling, food and garden waste collections will change for some Tewkesbury Borough residents over Christmas and the New Year.
In previous years, some households have had their waste or recycling collections suspended because of the Christmas holidays, but after listening to feedback from residents, we have changed our scheduling to make sure everyone has a green or blue bin collected during the Christmas week.
Here’s a reminder of the rescheduled dates:
*If you are a member of the Garden Waste Club, your garden waste collections will resume week commencing Monday 31 December. You will also be able to put your real Christmas tree out alongside your garden waste bin for collection.
Where to recycle your Christmas tree in Tewkesbury Borough
If you are a member of the garden waste club, you can put your Christmas tree out with your brown bin. Small trees can obviously go inside the bin, but trees taller than two meters (six feet) will need to be cut in half and put out next to the bin.
If you don’t have a brown wheelie bin, you can still get 2019 off to a green start by recycling your Christmas tree at one of 13 locations around Tewkesbury Borough.
Trees can be taken to any of the Household Recycling Centres in Gloucestershire, or to any of the places below from 5 - 20 January 2019:
