Making the plan: 19 September 2017

Following the Independent Examination and Referendum, Tewkesbury Borough Council brought the Gotherington Neighbourhood Plan into legal force, under Section 38A(4) of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 on the 19th September 2017.

The Gotherington Neighbourhood Plan now forms part of the statutory Development Plan for the Borough of Tewkesbury.


Referendum: 20 July 2017

At Referendum, on Thursday 20 July 2017, the Gotherington Neighbourhood Development Plan secured the majority required of those voting for Tewkesbury Borough Council to use the plan to help it decide planning applications in the Neighbourhood Area, with a 63.20% turnout and 93.10% voting yes.


Examination: 6 April 2017

Following the close of the six week consultation period on the 21 October 2016 the Gotherington Neighbourhood Development Plan was subject to Independent Examination. The report of independent neighbourhood plan examiner, Ms Liz Beth, was received on Thursday 6 April 2017.


Consultation: 21 October 2016

Between 12 September to 21 October 2016 the plan was consulted on, in accordance with Regulation 16, as a 'plan proposal'. A report summarising the consultation responses is below.


Submission: 26 July 2016

Gotherington Parish Council submitted a Neighbourhood Development Plan, in accordance with Regulation 15 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012, to Tewkesbury Borough Council on the 26 July 2016.
