Joint Core Strategy (JCS)
The Joint Core Strategy (JCS) is a partnership and co-ordinated strategic development plan that sets out how this area will develop during the period up to 2031. The JCS is steered by officers and elected members from each of the three local authorities; Gloucester City Council, Cheltenham Borough Council, and Tewkesbury Borough Council.
The JCS was adopted by the three authorities in December 2017.
The authorities have commenced an immediate review of the JCS and have undertaken a consultation on an Issues & Options document from 12th November 2018 to 11th January 2019.
For more information please visit the Joint Core Strategy website
Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL)
The CIL allows local authorities to raise funds from developers undertaking new building projects in their area to fund a wide range of infrastructure that is needed to support new development.
Local development scheme (LDS)
Prepared by Local Planning Authorities the Local Development Scheme (LDS) identifies the timetable for the preparation of Development Plan Documents (DPDs) which together constitute the 'Local Plan' for the area, as required by the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004, as amended. For Tewkesbury Borough Council this includes the Joint Core Strategy (JCS) and the Tewkesbury Borough Plan (TBP).
Flood and water management SPD (February 2018)
The flood and water management SPD supports existing policy and provides guidance to developers and decision makers on how to manage surface water and main river flood risk.
