What is the Local List for a Planning Application?

Applicants are required to submit information for the validation and assessment of their planning applications. Some of this information is a national requirement for all applications. However, Councils are also able to request more information for applications, and these local requirements are known as the “local list‟. The information requirement will vary depending on the nature and scale of the development proposals.

Why is this Review being undertaken?

The Local List for Tewkesbury Borough has been reviewed as follows:

  • To take account of the adoption of the Joint Core Strategy which has implications for the information requirements for some planning applications.

  • Updated to take account of Government policy in the National Planning Policy Framework and Planning Practice Guidance.

  • Policy drivers for each information requirement have been added to enable applications to consider whether the particular information requirement is reasonable for their proposal.

  • Additional links have been provided to relevant guidance that may be helpful for applicants.

What is the period of consultation?

How to make a comment or observation
