This is an exciting opportunity to join the newly established Counter Fraud Unit. The successful applicant will work across West Oxfordshire District Council, the Gloucestershire Local Authorities (including the County Council) and other related organisations to support the continuing development of a Counter Fraud Unit tasked with minimising abuse of the public purse through fraud prevention and detection.
You will be employed by Cotswold District Council however the Counter Fraud Unit is a shared service with Cheltenham and Tewkesbury Borough Councils and Forest of Dean and West Oxfordshire District Councils.
The Counter Fraud Unit also provides services to third party organisations with a focus on Housing and Tenancy Fraud, some experience within this area would be beneficial.
The Counter Fraud Unit supports service areas both in terms of fraud investigation and enforcement work. It also assists in identifying potential risks and abuse, and requires new team members to deliver this.
One position is a permanent part time position, working up to 24 hours per week.
One position is a 1 year fixed term position, working up to 37 hours per week.
