Do you have passion for customer care?
We’re looking for someone who wants to make sure our customers get the best service possible – resolving their enquiries at the first contact.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, in a team committed to delivering first class services, to meet the needs of our customers. To fit the role you will need to be team orientated, flexible and react to customers’ queries with professionalism.
Our customer services team is the front of house for the council, receiving enquiries through a variety of communication channels, including face-to-face, over the phone, at our satellite advice and information centres and online.
A flexible attitude is vital to respond to a diverse customer group with a wide range of enquiries.
Although full training is provided, ideally you will have proven experience in a front line customer service role and be equally adept to dealing with customers using a range of contact methods. Educated to GCSE Grade C level or equivalent, you will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and be computer literate. Ideally you will have an NVQ in Customer Services too.
For an informal discussion please contact Helen Langley, Customer Services Team Leader, on 01684 272272.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
“The council is committed to promoting equality of opportunity; we welcome applications from all sections of the community.”
