This exciting opportunity is to support the delivery of the Community infrastructure Levy (CIL) at the three councils: Gloucester City, Cheltenham Borough and Tewkesbury Borough.

Collectively the councils have been working on a Joint Core Strategy (JCS) a strategic level plan to deliver housing and employment across the wider area and as part of this, to implement CIL. This role will support the delivery of CIL and related S106 agreements across the three councils.

Based in Tewkesbury, the role will report to the CIL Manager and involve working for the three authorities with the following key responsibilities:

  • Implement and undertake process required in the operation of the CIL Charging Authorities in Cheltenham, Gloucester and Tewkesbury as required;

  • Implement and undertake processes for recording, monitoring and reporting on Section 106 agreements for developer contributions;

  • Support the development, implementation and operation of a structure of CIL governance for individual JCS Councils and the partnership as a whole.

The borough of Tewkesbury is located in the north of Gloucestershire includes parts of the Severn Vale and the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and stretches south beyond the outskirts of Gloucester and Cheltenham. It has an excellent location at the heart of the motorway network and whilst predominantly rural in nature, it includes a wide range of economic activity ranging from large multinationals to micro businesses.
