Freedom of information request

The Freedom of Information Act 2000 gives you a general right of access to information held by the Council. Unless the information is subject to one of the exemptions in the Act, the Council will tell you whether it holds the information requested and, if it does, the Council will provide this information to you.

Publication scheme

The council's publication scheme is a guide to the information that is automatically or routinely published and it is a way to make a significant amount of information available without waiting for a formal request.  Most information is available via the Council's website and where this is the case the appropriate link is provided. If the information is not available via the website this will be made clear together with guidance on charges and how the information can be obtained.
