Air quality review

Under Part IV of the Environment Act 1995, we have a statutory duty to review and assess air quality within the borough. We review and assess air quality in the borough against standards and objectives prescribed in regulations. We must undertake an Annual Status Report (ASR) every year to identify any significant changes that may have occurred since the previous assessment was completed. The following recent ASR’s have been submitted to Government;


Air quality management area (AQMA)

Air Quality Management Area’s (AQMA’s) are set up to improve air quality at locations where poor air quality is identified. In 2008, an AQMA was established in Tewkesbury Town Centre.
