Delivery of new recycling bins continues
The delivery of new recycling bins and food waste caddies as part of the Borough's new recycling and waste collection scheme continues in the run up to the launch. From Monday, 1 March the bins are being delivered with an instruction leaflet, a collection calendar and a roll of compostable food waste caddy liners for residents to use in their kitchen caddies.

Tewkesbury Borough Council's Lead Member for Clean and Green Environment Cllr Jim Mason said: "The delivery of the new bins marks the first visible change to our recycling and waste collection scheme.
"We are asking residents to continue to use their current recycling boxes until the scheme starts on 12, April - and the blue bin can be used to store plastic bottles and cardboard until then.
"I encourage residents to keep hold of their new collection calendars as these hold the collection dates for the rest of the year."
Tewkesbury Borough Council was awarded funding from DEFRA to provide the initial roll of food waste liners for the weekly food collection and residents can buy subsequent rolls from local shops.
It is important that the correct liners are used and if residents are unsure they can look out for the seedling logo, which can be seen below.
The food waste caddies can also be lined with newspaper, which is an excellent addition to the composting process.
The Council is asking residents not to use plastic carrier or shopping bags as they cannot be composted and will not be collected.
If residents have not had their bins delivered but have noticed that other households in the same street have, please wait 48 hours before reporting this to the Council as the containers may be on a separate delivery vehicle. After 48 hours please report it to 01684 272279.
The Council is also advising residents that the lids on some of the new bins may not shut fully – this is due to the normal storage and transit conditions which occur when delivering these bins. This is not a manufacturing fault and residents will find that after a few days, the lids will settle into the fully closed position.
