Count Me In - What's it all about?
The project is about making Tewkesbury a healthier place to live and to encourage all ages to take part in a healthy lifestyle change. The Government funded scheme is one of nine in England to be awarded Healthy Town Status.Funding has been secured to develop a healthy living programme focusing on the key areas:
- Food & Nutrition
- The Environment
- Physical Activity
CMI covers the following 5 wards in Tewkesbury:
- Ashchurch with Walton Cardiff
- Northway
- Newtown
- Tewkesbury Priors Park
- Tewkesbury Town with Mitton
The campaign is a partnership between Tewkesbury Borough Council, NHS Gloucestershire, Gloucestershire County Council, Gloucestershire Food Vision, Active Gloucestershire and The University of Gloucestershire. The partners will work with a wider range of existing local "deliverers" in the communities to ensure the programme is meeting the local need and is delivered by those best placed to make the greatest impact.
