Mayor Of Tewkesbury Borough
Councillor Miss Elaine Hancox was invested as Mayor of Tewkesbury Borough at a Ceremony held in Tewkesbury Abbey on 11 May 2010.Nearly 200 guests attended the Ceremony including many friends and family as well as local dignitaries. Her partner Mr Martin Berry will be her Consort for the year and fellow Borough Councillor Mrs Claire Wright will be her Mayoress. Her Chaplain will be Reverend Steve Short.
During her year in Office she will be supporting the Severn Area Rescue Association (SARA), Sue Ryder Care - Leckhampton Court Hospice, the Surgical Laser Trust Fund – Gloucester Hospital NHS Trust, Tewkesbury Hospital League of Friends and Tewkesbury Sea Cadets.
Councillor Dave Waters was invested as Deputy Mayor for the year at the same Ceremony. Councillor Dave Waters named his wife, Mrs Sue Waters, as his Mayoress.
